About

Firstly, I am totally new to blogging but very eager to develop myself and move with the times! I am an experienced secondary RE teacher (taught for 11 years). I have been fully educated in the Catholic sector and all my teaching experience (bar 3 days observing in a non-faith school) has been Catholic. I am also an experienced school governor – both at primary and secondary level.  I have Chartered London Teacher status; have completed NCSL Leading from the Middle and NCSL Leadership Pathways.  However, I am moving out of the sector – moving away from the world of Catholic RE teaching into a non-faith Academy setting. I will be responsible for whole school CPD and strategic organisation. This is such an exciting role – especially in London with all it offers in terms of networking opportunities to develop the absolute best practice!  I will also embark on an NPQH as I am really up for a challenge in this next phase of my career.  I plan to post on a regular basis and please do feel free to contribute as we can all learn from each other. The Academy I will be working for promotes the best in everyone. Who does not want or deserve the best?!
